Default Myrtle Beach Area

Hello, not really a fishing post, but figured I'd do it anyway.

I'm looking for some suggestions on where to stay in Myrtle Beach for a family vacation this summer. I'd like to take the wife and 3 kids for a relaxing week in July or August- probably not the best months for fishing, but better than not going.

Any advice on where to stay oceanfront? And what to expect fishing off the beach?

Thanks.

I usually stay at Myrtle Beach Travel Park which is between Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle near the Bass Pro store. They have villas, rental trailers, or bring your own. In July or August you'll only be able to fish early morning or late afternoon because of the people there.

I grew up on Ohio, every vacation was at the Myrtle Beach Travel Park
fond memories fishing for bass and blue gill in the park lake.

Now that e are in NJ, surf fishing has taken over

I lived there for awhile. Hot in August, but nice. Warm water. Hurricanes are possible. Stay in one of the nice oceanfront hotels and you'll have fun. My father actually has a couple rentals there. You could try him. 609 352 6722
