I feel for a you Chris, there is nothing more frustrating than reconfiguring a network connection with MS Windows.

Several weeks ago Genevieve Sophia called and told me the new wireless mouse I bought for her was "dying." Just took 5 minutes on the telephone to instruct her how to replace the AA batteries.

I'm waiting for the telephone call when the wireless keyboard dies....

I will try and call you tonight Benny B.
I went fishing instead. I got nothing all day until 10pm, my only hit of the day.
10 lbs, 31 inches. Not bad. Lotta work and driving for one keeper though.

Might be a stupid question but the wireless connection isn't disabled is it? System restore might work like Benny mentioned.

Did you have to load the linksys software on the laptop to set up your connection? Could be several things that got changed....

Well here is the latest.
The cat disabled the radio. Problem is the computer kept showing the radio as on. It still does, even when it is off. The radio on off key s the F3 button so that is where my big fat cats butt would sit.

It was one of the obvious things and the first few I checked, but the computer keeps saying it is on even when it is off. Once it is off, I have to turn it on and then reboot. If I try to just turn it on, it wont work.

I dont care its up and running and the cats has been banned. Thanks alot for the thought you guys put on this and Manny I am sorry I was too nuts to take you up your offer to help. Glad I did not have to drag you down the path all the same.

tt y'all soon.

Are you familiar with TASKMGR.exe? On many Windows PC's you can access it by right clicking on the Time (lower right).

TASKMGR will show you what processes are running and allow you to Kill it during your current session.

OR you can use System Configuration Utility (MSCONFIG) from Start/Run

Best is Process Explorer v11 from MS System Internals.

You can right click anywhere on the task bar to pull up the task manager menu.
