and dang... I have to stay off the beach until I get my registration. I'm going to transfer the tags (which technically still doesn't make the new vehicle legit on Brigantine, but at least I'll have a good argument with the officer ) but don't have the registration / paperwork (including the new insurance card) yet.

The vehicle will still be a blue jeep with the same plate number if they come by LOL. Just think the temp tag is too obvious.

Rob, check out Quadratec's web site. You may not have to cut anything.

that's the site that directed me to the hidden hitch requiring some cutting

there are only 2 listed for the 2013 wrangler unlimited. The hidden hitch I posted previously and a WARN general receiver which describes it's installation thusly

"Universal Fit - This part will fit most vehicles. Some universal fit products require that you select a specific size or style, based on the actual features on your Jeep or truck."

and is more expensive.

Which would you go with?

that said, there are no product details that tell you how or where it is to be mounted.

since it looks different it very well might be mountable in a location that does not require cutting the fascia?

How are your tow hooks mounted on the front? The rack would probably render them useless, or awkward, at best. Is it possible to remove them and mount the rack in their void?

If possible, just remove it, save, reinstall when you go to sell it years down the road

good questions... I'll check

and Frank, that is a possibility w.r.t. save and reinstall later.

w.r.t. what it's protecting, I assume it's road, and specifically mud, splash up onto the ac condenser, but again, I'll have to go under there and see.

just looked at it and I'm leaning towards the remove-it-and-store it option, Frank !

Yea, that is nice, Rob! I am thinking about trading in my 06 Unlimited for a new one, but figure I'd have to sell my Impala and MGB, too to be able to afford one

Take your questions over for Jeepforum.com...they have a special section for the JK's and I am sure someone there will have some useful information for you. Good luck.

Bruce

Bruce,

I don't know a JK from an AZ just a jeep to me

Don't know ...that forum seems kinda hard core... Sort of like a Stripersurf.con for jeep owners
