Hi, Rob. I just bought a 2012 Liberty Latitude a couple of months ago. I'm getting her ready for the beach for surf fishing. Could you please give me any info on how they handle the beach, and any pointers would help. I came out of a 2004 Tacoma, never had problems with it on the beach, I like the jeep better, more room. Thank's.

My brain is shrinking and I can't recall the year Liberty I had, but it was the previous (old) model, not the 2012 you have, so I can't really comment on how you'll do.

But in general, you just have to air down, make sure you are in true 4WD (whatever setting that is for your vehicle... perhaps the manual will tell you) and you'll be fine.

My current Wrangler unlimited has larger tires and is better balanced on the sand that my old Liberty was

My '09 Liberty has not faltered on the beach (whenever I get a chance to get out there). As everyone says...air down....watch for holes and boards with nails when you're driving, and above all enjoy yourself. Good luck with the Latitude.
