Gail makes a good breakfast.

As for the low temps Mike will have no problem driving on frozen sand.

I'm hoping for subfreezing temperatures for the 18th since the Forester's maiden will be documented.

We may be taking a ride down to Jackson in a few days to see my mother in-law so I may take them for a ride to the park and get the permit then so I won't have to get it Saturday

Would you still come on Saturday if you get the pass before hand?

Just make sure you have the below...

The following eleven (11) items are MANDATORY in order to drive a 4 X 4 on the beach:
  1. Fishing Equipment (rod & reel), Tackle/Bait for each person over the age of 12!
  2. Tire Pressure Gauge capable of registering down to 5 psi or below.
  3. Full size Spare Tire
  4. Workable Jack plus a support board (3/4" x 12" x 12" minimum)
  5. Tow Line - minimum 14 foot long: Rope 3/4", Chain (5/16" diameter links min.) or Snatch Line (1-?" wide) or braided steel cable (1/4" min.)
  6. Shovel (Not a plastic toy beach shovel)
  7. Flashlight
  8. Fire Extinguisher
  9. Auto First Aid Kit
  10. Litter/Trash Bag (Carry In/Carry Out)
And dont get tempted to go on without us...otherwise...

I don't think I'll be able to put a receiver on the front of the Forester like I had on the Pathfinder for the rod and cooler rack.
I know I can put receiver on the back for a rod and cooler rack.
I'll use a roof rack until I get to the park.
I'm going to check the equipment box today to make sure everything is in order and make sure the deflators are still in good working order.

"We are going away from January 17th to January 29th......"
on his website

Does this change the meeting/breakfast location??

Curious minds want to know??
