Default 10/17 6:30am-1:30pm shoreline wading

made to my fav. CT. shoreline Yo-Zuri Sashimi top water produce Blufish out front along the grass on high tide ...worked my way to the back on the drop w/ no results on a few different presentations. Before the dead low I decided to make a move about 4 or 5 miles to an open flats beach w/ oyster beds where guide boats were working w/ the 8w met a few new friends which produced a couple of resident SB. in about 4fow white deceiver. Not much on the fish but could not you ask for a better early fall day on the shoreline . No traffic both ways on I-95 YES !

Going to give The End a shot next week but ...wait until Monday w/ the Hurricane out at sea.... hoping it doesn't change direction

a thing I would like to add about the New England fishing , one must be very knowledgeable about the waters ( below your feet ) you are about to fish. The boys up north know this as tides change very quickly & the + & - on your tide chart can not be taking for granted being stranded on a sand bar w/ tides moving very fast can ruin your day ...or your life . Fishing an open beach is so much different ...I'll give Frank a plug ....Striper Hot Spots are two good books for getting to new LoCo's . Getting on the Long Island Sound has some very good fishing & great challenges for the angler .

maybe one of these days a photo .... if I can remember the camera . tight lines

23/24 not seeing larger bass except for the boat guys It really has been small bass the last two days ...down sized presentation for this time of year on the LI Sound waters ... more thinking spring tactics ..the mid week weather put the Kabash on going out east. We thought being smart would would lengthen our fishing career's . Not sure what next week will bring ...would like to get another shot of some SM / Brown Trout in Westchester NY.

10/29 6:30am -11:30am
On the drop produced 14 SB -28” all on MirroLure (Glow ) top water ( walk the dog ) ,my fishing partner was also on ( his #’s were 6 or so ) when he was given the extra presentation I had in the bag , Also tried the MirrOLure “ Top Dog “ (clear ) not as well…. they wanted that Glow ( it has thatclicking soundthey wanted ) No wind a little sun which tried to break threw . 8’ Tsunami rod , Spheros 4000 reel. Ohero braid 15lb blue, 20lb mono leader , loop knot . I’ll throw a zillion xs for that top water bite !
tried the 8w ..just out of reach of my casting ability

11/12 w/ steady action continuing @ 1st light on the drop I'll stay here until they decide to turn off ...in the mid 20s" occasional 30" top water ,1/2 oz buck tail, Yo-zuri Darter 8w 1/2 & 1/2 white . w/ beautiful surrounding just can't pass up to look for bigger or no fish.

Although it sometimes pays off, my general rule is to never leave fish to find fish. I usually only find a skunk.
