That 64 lb from Buzzards Bay is confirmed. It was weighed in I believe at Falmouth Bait and tackle. it's lighting up the internet.

Oh, well, if it lit up the Internet, it would have to be true. (I guess you want me to count it, right?)

Jeff Fortin is the angler for the 64 - video is on the B&T facebook page.

C'mon Frank - if you read it on the Internet, it MUST be true.

Kevin Gould was the fisherman, Jeff Fortin was the guide/captain....so that means it was caught on a B**T, so it doesn't count.. End of story.

I've got all season to wait/watch for verification. It still raises doubts because it is too early for that in New England. No hurry.

Never forget that if we are to achieve an accurate count, it is necessary to watch for things unusual. Falmouth on May 16 is unusual. I saw the film and it is impressive so I put it down on my list. Just remember that there are a whole bunch of reasons why someone would photo shop a monster gamefish as important as a striped bass. Ever notice how many great catches lead to business, promotion, publicity favorable to a charter boat? A lure for sale?

Good call Frank - the fish isn't going anywhere, so what's the rush? The weigh-in video looks legit to me, but it's almost too professionally done. Almost like they had a camera crew and production studio on standby.

If there is shenanigans behind it, it will eventually come out.

My buddy in New Jersey has one onboard this morning that's over 50....I would guess mid 50's. I've seen pictures and it's an absolute beast. He will weigh it when he get's back to the dock. Stand by.

Its not TRUE until the catcher has a name. XXX, we going to start crediting fish by the name of the boat? "Your Buddy" is not a name either!

I don't know the customers name. My friend is the Capt., Jerry Postorino, Fish Monger Charters, Point Pleasant NJ. Caught on a live bunker. Actually weighed in at 56. That's all I got. Pictures below.

Information is not complete on all of them and I am hoping to pick it up here or there, but so far we have four over 50.
